Terms of use

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing or using the Controle de Validade application, the Validades Times system, or the Validades.com website, developed by Douglas Nunes de Mattos, the user declares that they have read, understood, and fully agreed to these Terms of Use, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.

If the user does not agree with any part of these Terms, the use of the services is expressly prohibited.

All content made available is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

2. License of Use

The user is granted a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use Controle de Validade, Validades Times, and Validades.com, exclusively for personal use or administrative use (in the case of team accounts).

No ownership rights over the software or services are transferred. The user is expressly prohibited from:

  • Modifying, copying, or redistributing the materials;

  • Using the services for unauthorized commercial purposes;

  • Performing reverse engineering, decompilation, or source code extraction;

  • Removing copyright or intellectual property notices;

  • Sharing, selling, lending, or transferring the account to third parties.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension and license revocation, without prior notice.

3. Individual Use and Account Sharing Prohibition

Each account is personal and exclusive.

Simultaneous use of the same account across multiple devices, browsers, or by third parties, as well as any attempt to bypass technical limitations, constitutes account sharing and is strictly prohibited.

In such cases, the account may be temporarily or permanently suspended, without any right to refund.

4. Application and Web Version Operation

The application must be downloaded exclusively from official stores (App Store and Google Play Store).

The web version (Validades.com) must be accessed only through the latest versions of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome

  • Microsoft Edge

  • Mozilla Firefox

The use of outdated, modified, or incompatible browsers may compromise service functionality.

The use of content-blocking extensions (such as ad blockers, script blockers, cookie blockers, or tracking blockers) may partially or fully affect the platform’s operation. In such cases, compatibility and technical

7. Subscriptions, Automatic Renewal, and Free Trial

Paid services are offered through subscriptions with automatic renewal, processed exclusively via the App Store or Google Play Store.

By subscribing, the user agrees that:

  • The subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period;

  • The charged amount will be the price displayed at the time of purchase;

  • Subscription management and cancellation must be performed directly through the app store.

Examples:

  • A monthly subscription purchased for BRL 14.99 will be charged monthly while active;

  • A subscription with a 7-day free trial will not be charged during the trial period; however, once the trial ends, the subscription fee will be charged automatically unless canceled beforehand.

8. Previous Pricing Policy and Renewal Failures

If the user previously subscribed at a promotional or lower price and later:

  • Cancels the subscription; or

  • Experiences renewal interruption due to payment failure or similar reasons;

there is no right to maintain the previous price.

A new subscription must be purchased at the price in effect at the time of the new purchase.

9. Account Termination by the User

The user may request account termination at any time.

After termination, user data may be deleted or anonymized in accordance with the Privacy Policy, subject to legal and technical retention requirements.

10. Service Availability and Maintenance

Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical improvements, or third-party failures.

Such interruptions do not entitle the user to compensation or refunds.

11. Privacy Policy and Data Protection

The processing of personal data complies with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD – Law No. 13,709/2018).

Use of the services is subject to the Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Services are provided “as is,” without warranties, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable

law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Brazilian law, Douglas Nunes de Mattos shall not be liable for damages arising from the use of the services.

14. Eligibility

The services are intended for users aged 18 or older, or minors duly authorized by their legal guardians.

15. Use by Minors

Use by minors must occur under supervision of legal guardians.

We do not intentionally collect data from minors without proper consent.

Guardians are fully responsible for such use.

16. Proper Use of Services

Users must use the services lawfully.

They are fully responsible for the data they input.

17. Nature of the Platform

Controle de Validade is a management tool, not a social network.

Users are solely responsible for inserted content.

18. Amendments and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Brazilian law, with jurisdiction in Macaé/RJ.
